SARAJEVO, Dec 22- Interim head coach
Miso Smajlovic was appointed on Wednesday to lead the Bosnian national team in the 2002 World Cup qualifiers, Bosnian radio reported. Bosnia are in European qualifying group seven with Spain, Austria, Israel and Liechtenstein. Smajlovic took interim control in October replacing Faruk Hadzibegic who resigned after the team failed to qualify for next year's European championship finals. Smajlovic, a former player and manager of Zeljeznicar Sarajevo, was in charge for last month's 0-0 draw against the German reserve team in a friendly in Sarajevo. (Reuters)
